Geronimo (Jerry) Procopio Marquez went home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 17, 2016. Jerry passed away at home with family and friends after an extended illness. He was born on August 20, 1947 to Miguel and Elvira Anaya Marquez in San Ysidro, New Mexico. Jerry married Kathleen Reagan on December 11, 1970 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Miguel and Elvira Marquez, brother, Paulito Marquez, sister, Ida Garcia and husband, Dan Garcia, brother-in-law, Francisco Vieira, nephews, Pat Garcia and Francisco Vieira, great nephew, Johnathan Torrez, niece, Cecilia Torrez, father-in-law, Lester L. Reagan, granddaughter Heaven Leigh Burleson and youngest daughter, Patricia Kathleen Eakes. He is survived by his wife of the family home, Kathleen Marquez, sister, Cassilda Vieira, brother, Estolano Marquez and wife Olivia, brother-in-law, Randy Reagan and wife Barbara, sister-in-law Karen Mann and husband John, six biological children, 27 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, mother-in-law, Dr. Patty Reagan and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry spent his earlier adulthood as a machinist for Ingersoll Rand and Sun Country Industries machining parts for the Apache Helicopter. In his later years, he shared his artistic abilities as a nationally recognized stone sculptor and instructor.
