Mercy N. Hernandez February 16, 1945 – May 10, 2016 Mercy Hernandez, 71, passed away on May 10, 2016 surrounded by her family in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mercy was born February 16, 1945 to Prajedes and Panfila Navarrette. She worked at H.E.L.P. in Roswell, NM until her retirement and was a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Mercy was known for her addicting laugh and great sense of humor. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends. Mercy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy Navarrette, Raymond Navarrette and sister, Bernarda McDill. She is survived by her children, Manuel Hernandez Jr. and wife Terry of Artesia, NM, Margaret Trujillo and partner Roberta Tarr of Moriarty, NM, Melissa Delgadillo and husband Joel of Moriarty, NM; brothers, Sam Navarrette and Wife Carolyn of Hobbs, NM, Edward Navarrette of Rosell and Robert Navarrette and wife Dolores of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Mary Pratt and husband Joe of Pennsylvania and Dominga Gomez and husband Sam of Roswell, NM and Virginia Barbier of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren, James Trujillo, Angelica Delgadillo, Jessica Trujillo, Jeremy Trujillo, Anthony Delgadillo, Alex Delgadillo, Benjamin Hernandez, Mariah White and 5 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary is to be recited on Monday May 16, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia, NM. The Celebration of Mass will be Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. Father Martin Cornejo will officiate. Pallbearers are Roberta Tarr, Jeremy Trujillo, Young Lantosh, AJ Chavez, Mariah White and Benjamin Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers are James Trujillo, Anthony Delgadillo, her great grandchildren and her brother and sisters. Burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park in Artesia, NM.
