Joshua Cameron Heid, 11, was granted his angel wings on April 25, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on October 6, 2004. Joshua was a 5th grader at Estancia Elementary School. His passions in life included Thomas the Tank Engine, regular trains and drawing. His adored elephants and collected stuffed animal elephants. He loved to “go fast” in his wheelchair and his big hazel eyes brought joy to all who knew him. Joshua didn’t just smile with his mouth, he smiled with his whole body. He was a pleasure to see in the hallways and classrooms. Joshua was loved and cherished by so many family, friends and teachers and will be deeply missed. He is survived and forever remembered by his parents, Raymond and Lori Heid of McIntosh, New Mexico; sisters, Jilian Heid, Jewlia Heid and Aubrey Lucero of McIntosh, New Mexico; his 2nd mom, Karen Maes; grandfather, Robert Letcher of McIntosh, New Mexico; grandmother, Marilyn Falco of Florida and grandparents Gerard and Patricia Lanoue of South Carolina. Joshua is also survived by his friends and family at Estancia Public Schools. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday May 4, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Estancia High School Gym in Estancia, New Mexico. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary.
