Adron Marvin Brown

November 20, 1935 — April 13, 2016

Adron Brown, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his home in Estancia, New Mexico with Kay, his wife of 35 years, by his side. He was born November 20, 1935 to Claude and Bertha (Crider) Brown in Ewing, NM. His siblings include: Roger, Virgil, Dennis, Corinne, Margaret and Nelly. Adron and Kay shared eight children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Adron did not believe in the adage “blood is thicker than water”. He said that water is what sustains all nature, be it human, plant or earth and so. All of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many others were his “water babies”; he always referred to them as water babies. He said water washes away anything, even blood. His love was huge and he had many amigos and compadres. They all know who they are. Names were not necessary because his love was spread all over the world. Adron was a proud 4-H leader for 25 years, he also served as a Torrance County Commissioner, Farm Bureau President and worked for the Town of Estancia until he retired. No service is scheduled. There will be a private memorial remembrance for family members. If you wish to pay your respects, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of Adron’s favorite charities instead. Donations may be sent “In Memory of Adron Brown” to St. Joseph’s Indian School, PO Box 326, Chamberlain SD 57326 (www.stjo.org) or to Salesian Missions, 2 Lefevre Lane, New Rochelle NY 10801-5710 (www.salesianmissions.org).
