William "Bill" Sidney Crawford

William S. “Bill” Crawford, 80, went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2016. He entered this world on June 13, 1935 in Parkin, Arkansas to the late Aubrey and Modenia Crawford. On March 18, 1988 in Tijeras, NM he married his soul mate Sue A “Sanny” Silvius. Bill served in the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps. He retired after 27 years in law enforcement from Albuquerque Police Department and Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and was often assigned to the East Mountain district. A member of the Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association since 1987, including past president, retirement gave Bill more time to spend with his mules and donkey. He is also preceded in death by his Sons, Donald Crawford and David Crawford. Bill is survived by his beloved Wife, Sue “Sanny” Silvius of Edgewood, NM; Son, Scott Crawford of Albuquerque, NM and was blessed with 3 Grandchildren, Daniel Crawford of AZ, Clint Crawford of OK and Dustin Crawford of Germany as well as 4 Great Grandchildren. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Tuesday March 1, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at the Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. Pastor John Nash to Officiate. A viewing will start one hour prior to service at 5:00 P.M. Interment will be on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at 11:15 A.M. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers will be Clint Crawford, Charles Gould and Alan Platt. Honorary Pallbearers are Scott Crawford, Duane Boyson and John Jankovich.
