James “Jim” Leon White, 69
James Leon White, 69, of Moriarty, New Mexico passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at his home.
Jim was born in Amarillo, Texas in 1946 and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1963. Throughout his career he worked in Water well service and Airplane mechanics as well as engineering for Arab Trading Supply; working overseas for many years. He owned a café in Dalhart, Texas for with his wife Jeannie before his move to New Mexico in 1990 when he became a full-time truck driver for Consolidated Freightways, ultimately retiring from ABF in 2014. Jim was a kind and passionate man and was beloved by all who knew him. Jim loved his family above all else, and never missed the punchline on a joke.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents CB and Bessie White, his wife, Jeannie White, and his grandson, Nicholas Durant.
Jim is survived by his daughters Kim & Bobby Garcia, and Misty Miller and his sons Wayne and Nita White and Brian and Tammy White. 8 grandchildren- Amber Garcia, Brandon Garcia, Robert Garcia, Skyler Miller, Zachary Durant, Samual White, Taylor White, and Trevor White.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 7th from 10am to 1pm at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, followed by graveside services at 1:30 PM at Mountainview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors for food and memories at Jim’s home in Moriarty following the graveside services.
