Florian Luna Sr.

Florian Luna Sr., 83 of Punta de Agua, went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2015 at his home on the Luna Ranch with his family at his side. He was born on October 5, 1931 in Punta de Agua to Frank Luna Sr. and Rita Jaramillo Luna. Along with working the ranch and farm he worked in Maintenance, mainly landscaping, at the Mountainair Electric CO/OP and retired after 32 years. He married Christina Equibel 50 plus years ago in Belen. He was a US Army veteran of Korean conflict and was awarded three Bronze Stars. He was a very hard working man and never asked for much. Very devoted to his family. Florian is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Christina, his sons, Phillip Luna, Michael Luna, Florian Luna Jr. and Herman Luna. Also surviving him is his daughter, Nadine Luna His brothers, Frank Luna and wife Tillie and Dimas Luna and wife Bangie. His Sisters also survive him, Trinnie Otero and husband Claude, Rita Luna-Casias and husband Johnnie Jr., Alma Griego and husband Eloy, Oralia Garcia and husband Tony and Odelia Chavez and husband Larry. Also, according to his family, a lot of grandchildren and too many great grandchildren to count. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday August 3, 2015 at the Luna Ranch Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be his immediate family and grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 5, 2015 at Punta de Agua Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. Arrangements under the direction of Harris-Hanlon Mortuaries of Moriarty and Mountainair.
