John Wallace Childs

John Wallace Childs, age 60, passed away on July 26, 2015 in Moriarty, NM. He was born on September 27, 1954 in Chillicothe, MO to the late Herman and Norma (Jones) Childs. In 1972 John graduated from Chillicothe High School and went on to take some various college classes. On August 29, 1997 he married Candace Bertram in St. Joseph, MO. His passions in life included hunting, fishing, camping and Antique Cars. John also had a great love for music and was in two professional Gospel Bands called the Bethelairs and His Song. In 1997 he started his own computer business called Compufever. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. John is also preceded in death by his Step Daughter, Kimberly Fields. He is survived and forever remembered by his beloved wife, Candace Childs of McIntosh, NM; Sons, Paul Fields and John Childs Jr. of McIntosh, NM; Daughters and Son in Law, Debbie and David Abdill of McIntosh, NM, Sara Justus of McIntosh, NM, Stacy Williams of Lock Springs, MO, Angela Nolan of St. Joseph, MO, and Crystie Simpson of St. Joseph, MO; Brother, Victor Childs of Minnetonka, MN; Sisters, Mary Burton of Chillicothe, MO, Barbara LeClare of Lake Ozark, MO, Patricia Kinnison of Chillicothe, MO and Myrna Cobb of St. Joseph, MO. John was blessed with several beautiful grandchildren as well. Services will be scheduled at a later time.
