Maxine Goforth

On the night of June 19, 2015 Maxine Goforth joined her family and several friends in Heaven. Known as Mama, Grandma and friend she was devoted to her family. She helped her sisters and brothers in Oklahoma many times by stepping in to care for her nieces and nephews. She remained an active volunteer throughout her life, loved to study the Bible and often could be heard playing old time gospel and country music. Her Joyful spirit was contagious. Anytime it rains we will remember her enthusiasm for the weather and her love of nature. She is survived by two daughters, Rita Chacey of Moriarty and Sandy Ray of Estancia. One son, Donnie Daugherty of Edgewood, three Grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and 34 nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service is planned for August 28, 2015 at the Mountainview Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. It will a double Interment of Donald Daughertry and Maxine Goforth in celebration of their 53rd Wedding Anniversary.
