Elfigo Martinez

Elfigo Martinez, age 58, of Moriarty, New Mexico entered the gates of Heaven on April 22, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is the beloved son of the late Elfigo and Clorinda Martinez and was born on April 12, 1957 in Grants, New Mexico. Elfigo was a devout Catholic and a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, New Mexico. His passion in life was the outdoors. Elfigo was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping, road trips, buying and selling at the flea market, and was a diehard San Francisco 49ers fan. His kids and grandkids were the light of his life, and his true love was Georgia. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Elfigo is preceded in death by his Step Daughter, Maria Segura; Step Son, Larry Segura; Brother, Robert Martinez and Sister, Beatrice Rivas. He is survived and forever remembered by his Wife at Heart, Georgia Segura of Moriarty, NM; Step Son, Leroy Segura of Santa Fe, NM; Step Daughters and Sons in Law, Patricia and Jonathan Chavez of Albuquerque, NM and Angela and Uriah Smith of Moriarty, NM; Brother, Benito Martinez of Moriarty, NM; Sisters and Brothers in Law, Evelyn and Albert Carrasco of San Jose, CA, Dorothy and Frito Gallegos of Albuquerque, NM, Barbara and Virgil (Gutierrez) Saavedra of Moriarty, NM, Victoria and Jimmy Garcia of Sandia Park, NM, and Yvonne and David (Padilla) Gonzalez of Moriarty, NM. Elfigo was blessed with 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Friday May 1, 2015 at 9A.M. at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, New Mexico followed by the celebration of Mass at 10:00 A.M. The Burial will be at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Moriarty, New Mexico.
