Nicholas Eric Brasher

Nicholas E. Brasher age 43, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2015 surrounded by his loving family in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on December 23, 1971 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nicholas was the son of Lester Brasher, Jr. and Lois Metzgar. Nicholas was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico but he also spent about ten years in Dallas, Texas. He proudly served as a Staff Sargent for the United States Air force and was fortunate enough to travel the world as a result of his services from 1990 to 2000. He was discharged with commendation medals and awards for his services. Nicholas was a son, father and brother who will be greatly missed but not forgotten. Nicholas is remembered fondly as a family man who was always quick to make people smile, he always had a great sense of humor and he was able to maintain a positive attitude even as his health declined. His is survived by his father who lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico and his mother who lives in Taos, New Mexico; his two sons Dominic Brasher and Eric Brasher who live in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania; his daughter Miranda Meloni-Brasher who also lives in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania; brother Russell Brasher in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife Janelle Brasher; his sister Nico Rich who lives in Plano, Texas with her husband Jeff Rich and he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 17, 2015—11:00 AM at the Chester T. French Memorial Chapel in Albuquerque, New Mexico; with Pastor Dave Goodnight officiating. The burial will be performed with military honors at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 PM. The pallbearers will be Dominic Brasher, Eric Brasher, Miranda Meloni-Brasher, Nico Rich, Russell Brasher, Antonio Gonzales and honorary pallbearer Todd Mertz.
