Escolastico Delgado

Escolastico Delgado entered into eternal peace on Friday March 6, 2015, he was 86. He was born on February 10, 1929 in Willard, New Mexico to the late Louis and Theresa (Corona) Delgado. He graduated Willard High School in 1949. Escolastico married the love of his life Madeline Gallegos and they wed in June of 1961. He had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of the Calvary Chapel Estancia Valley. Escolastico was gracious and kind and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; his Beloved wife Madeline; Son, Louis Delgado; Step Sons, Bobby Mendez, Jerry Mendez; Brothers, Nasario Delgado, Moises Delgado, Florencio Delgado, Felix Delgado and Carlos Delgado; and Sisters Susanna Gutierrez, Amalia Delgado and Manualita Delgado. Escolastico is survived and forever remembered by his Step Sons and Step Daughters in law, Andrew Mendez, Johnny and Arlene Mendez, Edward and Eileen Mendez all of Willard NM; Step Daughters and Step Son in law, Geneva and Fabian (Gallegos) Mendez of Clovis, NM, Bernice Montoya of Albuquerque, NM and Mary Mendez of Carolton, TX; Daughters and Sons in Law, Ida and William Torrez of Willard, NM, Dixie and Jesus Carpio of Estancia, NM, Barbara Delgado of Willard, NM, Cecilia and Ernest (Perez) Delgado of Willard, NM; Brother and Sister in Law, Albert and Katthe Delgado of South Carolina and Sister and Brother in Law Santana and Sam Hill -Leonti of North Carolina. Escolastico was blessed with 25 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Escolastico Delgado, a liftetime resident of Willard, New Mexico, will be buried in the El Rosaro Cemetery in Willard, New Mexico on Wednesday March 11, 2015. A funeral Services will be held at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, New Mexico. The viewing is will be at 10:00 A.M. with services to follow at 11:00 A.M. Jonathan Richards to Officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Carpio Sr, Jesse Carpio, Lucian Alderete, Jody Delgado, Jerry Mendez and Ruben Mendez. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Mendez, Nathaniel Torrez, Azariah Torrez, Jeremiah Carpio Jr, Jacob Tafoya, Rey Trillo, Jose Serefin and Migual Serefin.
