Alfred Ray Brannon

Alfred “Ray” Brannon, 74 years young, beloved father, brother and dear friend peacefully passed on February 18, 2015. Born in Mountainair, New Mexico on January 3, 1941 to Carl Elvin and Dorothy Mable (Groom) Brannon, where he later became a lifetime resident. Ray was a generous, caring soul with a true heart of gold. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Chris Brannon, and ex-wife Kathryn Brannon. He is survived and forever remembered by his daughters and sons-in-law Lynette and Joe Singleton of Farmington, NM and Charlotte and Charles Ryff of Rio Rancho, NM; sons and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Roberta Brannon of Navajo Dam, NM and Travis Brannon of Stony Point, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Judy Brannon of Fresno, CA. Ray was blessed with ten beautiful grandchildren as well as 2 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 1 – 3pm at the Dr. Saul Community Center, 105 E. Broadway, Mountainair, NM.
