Clorinda E Lopez

Clorinda peacefully passed away in her home, near Stanley, on the evening of January 12, 2015. She was born on May 14, 1928 in Palma, NM to Segundo Encinias and Catalina Trujillo. On October 10, 1953 she married Jose Maria Donaciano (Chano) Lopez in Aurora, NM. In April of 1967, Clora and Chano moved to Stanley, NM where they resided for the next 47 years. Clora was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She found joy in spending time with her family and giving to others. Clora was an active member in the Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as well as the Sociedad del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus. She is preceded in death by her parents Segundo and Catalina Encinias; her brothers Amadeo, Victor, Frank, Pete and Lizardo Encinias; her daughter-in-law Lina Lopez and great grandchild Aurelina Lopez. She is survived by her husband Chano, five children and their spouses; Max & Angie, Mary & Paul, Chris & Yolanda, Joe & Lisa and Linda & Fred; Clora was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday January 15, 2015 and the Celebration of Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday January 16th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM with the burial to follow at the Stanley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons Julian Lopez, Max Lopez, Lawrence Romero, Christopher Apodaca, Stephen Apodaca and Curtis Apodaca.
