LORRY DELBERT ROBINSON, 82, of Albuquerque, New Mexico peacefully passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Delbert was born September 22, 1932 in Grand Quivira, NM to Loy Austin and Marie (Jackson) Robinson. Delbert was a Korean War – US Navy veteran. He married his loving wife of 50 years, Betty Joan Higgins, on December 4, 1964 in Albuquerque. Together they raised three sons. Delbert lived in Albuquerque for the past 49 years having previously lived in Mountainair, NM. He was a Mountainair High School graduate. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. Delbert was preceded in death by his father Loy Austin Robinson; mother Zelpha Marie Jackson; son Terry Dean Robinson; step-son Glenn Dale Storer; and sisters Vera Lorine Robinson McCrory and Betty Joan Robinson Mathews. He is survived by his wife Betty J. Robinson; step-son David Earl Storer and wife Debby; brother Jerry Robinson of Mesquite, NV; sisters Zelpha Corine Robinson Smith of Mesquite, NV and Annie Marie Robinson Neill of Pearland, TX; and two grandchildren Hunter Witt and Chance Dean Allen. There will be viewing on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM. The service will be at 11:00am with Doris Jaquess officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Matthews Cemetery in Mountainair, NM. Pallbearers will be Wayne Mathews, Robert Mathews, Marvin Mathews, John Mathews, Warren Mathews and Mitch McKinley.
