John William Hort

JOHN WILLIAM HORT, 89, of McIntosh, NM peacefully passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. John was born August 15, 1925 in Danville, PA to Louie and Ruth (Gateman) Hort. John was a WWII Korea War, Army/Air Force Veteran. He retired from the Air Force and was a member of the VFW. He lived in McIntosh for the past 36 years, in Albuquerque for 19 years and prior to that in Germany. John was preceded in death by his parents and son Raymond Hort. He is survived by his loving wife Helga Hort and son William Hort; grandchildren Jennifer Day, Wendy Whitehurst, Ashleigh Ford, Tracy Hort, Tim Hort, Christian Hort and Dylan Hort; and great-grandchildren Morgan Goodson, Alexander Hort, Levi Ford, Clayton Whitehurst, Logan Day, Jordan Day, Sydney Castro, Scottlyn Castro, Tyler Diaz, and Hayley Hort. There will be a Graveside Memorial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
