Preselia C. Luna

PRESELIA C. LUNA, 87, of Torreon, New Mexico passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family by her side on Friday, October 24, 2014. Preselia was born July 5, 1927 in Torreon, NM to Melquides and Adelina (Montoya) Chavez. She was a lifelong resident of Torreon. She was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church and a member of the Altar/Rosary Society at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Preselia was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Juan Lujan, who passed away in 1951 and Frank Luna, who passed away in 1977; granddaughters Leola Acevedo and Isabel Lujan; grandson Salvador Barela; and 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons Clemente Lujan and Chavela of Torreon and Johnny and Liz of Torreon; daughter Susan Barela and Eusebio of Jarales; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. There will be a viewing from 8:00 to 9:00am followed by the Rosary at 9:00am on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon, NM. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated after the Rosary on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 10:30am with Rev. Fr. Bob Peccatiello officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at Torreon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Francisco Barela, Daniel Salas, Leon Lujan, Patrick Lujan, Mike Crabb, and Eusebio Barela Jr..
