Victoria Christina Parra

VICTORIA CHRISTINA PARRA, 19, of Estancia, NM passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Victoria was born July 3, 1995 in Albuquerque, NM to Victor and Emily (Maldonado) Parra. Victoria was a lifelong resident of Estancia. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church where she was a Catechism teacher for grades K-1. Before she was diagnosed with cancer she was a volleyball and basketball player for Estancia. She also finished high school on time despite her condition. She always had a positive attitude towards every obstacle she faced. She was a graduate of Estancia Valley Learning Center in 2013. Victoria is survived by her parents Victor and Emily Parra of Estancia; grandparents Carlos and Nela Maldonado of Estancia; brothers David Maldonado and his wife Mariah of Las Cruces, and Carlos Parra of Estancia; aunts Maria and Alberto Chrinos family and Mercedes & Daniel Lozano and family; and uncle Anthony Maldonado and his wife Nancy. There will be a Rosary on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 7:00pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia. The Mass of Resurrection will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Moses Nwankwo officiating. Pallbearers will be David Maldonado, Carlos Parra, Victor Parra, Daniel Lozano, Alberto Chrinos, Anthony Maldonado, and Carlos Maldonado. Burial of cremains will follow the service at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.
