Billy Joe Wells

BILLY JOE WELLS, 83, of Claunch, New Mexico passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Billy was born February 13, 1931 in Gran Quivira, New Mexico to James and Mennel (McDaniel) Wells. Billy was a member of the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mennel Wells; wife Carolyn Elizabeth; grandchildren Amber Langley and Danny Wells. Billy is survived by his sons, Ken Wells and his wife Marti of Las Cruces, NM, Wendell Wells and his wife Jimmie of Claunch, NM and Jeff Wells and his wife Carol of Las Cruces, NM; daughters, Barbara Langley and her husband Allen of High Rolls, NM and Rhonda Zurcher and her husband Jeff of Tacoma, WA; sisters, Nora Austin, Dora Hubbard and Laura Morris; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM. There will also be a viewing on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Mountainair Assembly of God Camp Ground Chapel. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Mountainair Assembly of God Camp Ground Chapel with Colby Wells officiating. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Langley, Branden Langley, Lance Wells, Lucas Wells, Terrel Wells, Joe Ray Wells, and Jason Harkey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Ulmer, Paul Thayer, Jerry Cozzen, John McKibben and Billy Montgomery. Burial will follow the service at White Lakes Cemetery in Gran Quivira, NM.
