Jerry Salomon Mendez

JERRY SALOMON MENDEZ, 65, of Estancia, NM passed away in his home on Thursday, July 10, 2014. Jerry was born July 23, 1948 in Clovis, NM to Salomon and Magdeline (Gallegos) Mendez. Jerry was an Army Veteran. He married his loving wife of 26 years, Gloria Ramirez on April 23, 1988 in Willard, NM. Together they had and raised four children, Jerry, Lorena, Angelica and Ruby. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Salomon and Magdeline Mendez and brothers Jody Mendez and Bobby Mendez. He is survived by his wife Gloria Mendez of Estancia; son Jerry Mendez Jr. of Estancia; daughters Lorena Trillo and her husband Rene of Wells, NV; Angelica Barragan and her husband Eddie of Albuquerque, and Ruby Mendez of Estancia; brothers Eddie Mendez, Andrew Mendez and Juan Mendez; sisters Mary Mendez, Penny Mendez, Bernice Mendez, Dixie Delgado Carpio, Cecilia Delgado, Barbara Delgado and Ida Torres; and six grandchildren Rey and Susie Trillo, Jose and Miguel Serafin, and Aliana Barragan and Geronimo Mendez III . There will be a viewing from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, NM. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 following the viewing. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 9:00am to 9:45am also at Sts. Peter & Paul Church follow by the Mass of Resurrection at 10:00am with Rev. Fr. Robert Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at El Rosario Cemetery in Willard, NM. Pallbearers will be Jerry Mendez Jr., Juan Silva, Rey Trillo, Jeremiah Carpio, Andrew Mendez, Eddie Barragan, Cory Partin, Rene Trillo and Jesse Carpio.
