John William "Bill" Prude Jr.

JOHN WILLIAM “BILL” PRUDE JR. passed away last week at the age of 70. He is survived by his sister, Judie Barnes, three sons, Ashley Hawkins, Chandler Prude, and Price Prude, his eight grandchildren, two former stepchildren Merrill Kingsbury and John Whittington, and his life companion Sydney Doughty. Bill was born in Cameron, Texas, lived in Lubbock, Texas, but eventually moved to New Mexico in 1994 where he retired in 2005. He was a lifelong learner appreciating nature and learning about the native New Mexicans. His passions were the outdoors, pottery, art, singing, and fishing. He was one of four founding members at The Church of the Holy Cross in Edgewood New Mexico where his memorial service will be held on Friday.
