ROBERT RAY BROWN, 65, of Moriarty, NM passed away at his home on Monday, April 14, 2014. Robert was born January 5, 1949 in Garden City, Kansas to Ray and Lois (Bowen) Brown. Robert lived in Moriarty for the past 25 years, having previously lived in Scott City, Kansas. He married Joanne on April 9, 1980 in Colorado. Robert was a man of many talents and aspirations. He owned and ran a wheat farm and a greenhouse, was a skilled carpenter, and an honorable Army veteran. Being very easygoing, Robert was known by his family and friends as Bob. He was a wonderful and dedicated husband and father. He had a prominent sense of humor, with the ability to help those around him by spreading a positive light on even the most difficult situations. His noble values and strong work ethic were evident in his everyday life. He was also a kind, quiet-natured, and caring person, always willing to help others when they needed it. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Joanne of Moriarty; son Christopher Brown of Moriarty; daughters Danelle Small and her husband Nicholas of Cheyenne, WY and Kimbra Flores and her husband Santiago of Oklahoma City, OK; all of whom loved him and will miss him very much. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 6:00pm at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
