Hilario Esiquel Montano

HILARIO ESIQUEL MONTAÑO, 93, of Puercito, New Mexico passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014. Hilario was born October 5, 1920 in Puercito, NM to Demetrio and Louise (Gurule) Montaño. Hilario was an Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Demetrio and Louise Montaño; wife Helen Angelicia Montaño, who died in 2003, daughter Bonnie Archuleta; great-great-granddaughter Isabella Montaño; brothers Manuel Montaño and Pat Chavez, sister Roslie Gonzalez; and daughter-in-law Ida Montaño. He is survived by his sons Danny Montaño and his wife Lydia, Rudy Montaño, and Hilario P. Montaño; daughter Eloisa Montaño, brothers Tony  Montaño, and Demetrio Montaño; sister Nelda Garcia; 8 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 7:00PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 10:00AM also at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at the Montaño Family Cemetery in Golden, 688 Camino Ruidoso, Golden, NM 87047. Pallbearers will be Daniel R, Montaño, Joseph R. Montaño, James M. Montaño, Antonio F. Archuleta, Eutimio Gonzales, and Joe Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers will be Manuel Herrera, David Thompson and Tyler Thompson.
