Shirley Jean Dennison

SHIRLEY JEAN DENNISON, 75, of Stanley, NM passed away in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Shirley was born September 24, 1938 in Fruita, Colorado to Clarence and Mildred (Blavier) Powell. She married Lloyd J. Dennison on March 19, 1956 in Stillwater, OK. They had three sons James, Richard and Jack and three daughters Teresa, Elizabeth and Katherine. Shirley was a retired Post Master from the Stanley Post Office. She lived in Stanley for the past 42 years. She was a member of the Stanley Union Church. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Mildred Powell; husband Lloyd Dennison; son Jack Dennison; daughter Katherine Tafoya; granddaughter Teresa Dennison; grandson Alfredo Miguel Tafoya and granddaughter Misty Rose Dennison. She is survived by her sons James Dennison and his wife Corrine of Stanley, NM and Richard Dennison and his wife Joyce of Millville, NJ; daughters Teresa VanCleave and her husband Bryant of Great Bend, KS and Elizabeth Dennison of Stanley, NM; 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00AM at Stanley Union Church with Pastor John Nash Officiating. Pallbearers will be Kirby Odegaard, Brady Boger, Andrew Dennison Fose, David Smith Honorary Pallbearer will be Larry Dennison. Burial will be at the Stanley Cemetery.
