Charlotte Lucille Peet

Charlotte Lucille Sparks Peet wife of D. Jack Peet went to be with the Lord Feb. 26, 2014 at about 3AM in Albuquerque, NM. She was age 78 and was born April 8 1935 in Portsmouth, OH. She was married July 18, 1953 to Jack Peet by her father Rev. George Sparks. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Her bout with dementia, diabetes and other medical problems caused us to move from Edgewood to Albuquerque to be closer to medical providers. We still have our house at 25 Park Rd. in Edgewood. Charlotte is survived by her husband Jack Peet, their daughter Nanetta and Norman Landry, their son Carl and Elizabeth Peet both of Albuquerque and 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Charlotte was working for Tucson Hospital when married but gave up the job to raise her two children. She moved with her family as Jack’s job changed location, from Tucson to Denver Colorado to New York City and finally to Albuquerque, NM in 1968. We later found land in Edgewood and built our house living there for more than 30 years. Charlotte volunteered her services to the Edgewood Senior Center, the Baptist Church on Church Street at the time and later to the Valley View Christian Church. She also helped at events at the Edgewood Fire Department. She was voted Senior of the year in 1995. Funeral Services will be held at Valley Christian Church on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:00AM with Errol Stepp and Brandon Shaffer officiating. Pallbearers will be Lonny Peet, James Landry, Carl Peet, Christian Landry, Tom Schafer, and Jason Weaver.
