Delfina Gonzales

DELFINA “DELLA” GONZALES, of Moriarty, NM peacefully passed away at her home with her loving family surrounding her. Delfina was born February 1, 1927 in Palma, NM to Enrique and Isabel Chavez. Delfina married Teofilo “Ted” Gonzales on August 28, 1950. Together they had and raised four sons and three daughters. Delfina was preceded in death by her parents Enrique and Isabel Chavez; Teofilo, her loving husband of 63 years, sons Jerry and Bobby; daughter Cynthia Gonzales; sisters Mela Encinias and Clara Perez; and brother Manuel Chavez. She is survived by her sons Steve Gonzales and his wife Dolores of Moriarty, and Ted Gonzales and his wife Debbie of Edgewood; daughters Annabell Mora and her husband John of Moriarty, Victoria Apodaca and her husband Larry of Edgewood; daughters-in-law Erma Gonzales of Moriarty and Carey Gonzales of Portales; sister Isabel Gallegos; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. There will be a Viewing from 9:00AM to 10:30AM on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Moriarty Civic Center. The Funeral Service will follow also on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 10:30AM at the Moriarty Civic Center with Pastor Gale Holt officiating. Pallbearers will be Cindy Gonzales, Johnny Mora Jr. Joshua Mora, Bobby Joe Gonzales, Larry Apodaca Jr. Esperanza Mora, Geraldine Cota, Brenda Gonzales, Teddy Joe Gatewood, Steve Gonzales, Jerry Gonzales Jr. Vanessa Roybal, Jonathan Gonzales, Benjamin Gonzales, and Nicholas Gonzales. Burial will follow the service at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty.
