Margaret Jean Allison

MARGARET JEAN ALLISON, 80, of Moriarty, NM passed away at her home on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Margaret was born March 8, 1933 in Carnegie, OK to Charley Hasting and Lavada Virginia (Fulks) Pettit. Margaret married James W. Allison on December 31, 1953 in Carnegie, OK. They lived in Moriarty since 1980 having previously lived in Houston. Margaret was a member of the Baptist Church in Carnegie and Gulfway Baptist in Houston, TX. She helped at the Baptist Mission and also Sun Valley Civic Club where she helped keep the pool open for the children. Margaret made wedding cakes, food, flower arrangements and candles for family and friends for their home weddings. She helped raise and breed Arabian horses at her cattle ranch. She loved children and animals. Margaret is survived by her son James Hasting Allison and daughter Virginia Allison Peck both of Moriarty. There will be Graveside Service on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Carnegie Cemetery in Carnegie, OK.
