Fidel E. Padilla

FIDEL E. PADILLA, 100, of Abo, NM peacefully passed away at his home on Monday, December 9, 2013. Mr. Padilla was born September 18, 1913 in La Joya, NM to Eulalio and Beneranda Padilla. He was a life-time resident of Abo, NM and a member of San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Abo. He retired from the Santa Fe Rail Road. Mr. Padilla was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patrocinia, who died February 22, 1952; daughter Marcella Padilla; grandchildren Florence and Mikey Padilla; and three brothers Eliseo, Elfido and Ernesto Padilla. He is survived by his sons Eulalio Padilla and wife Delia of Abo, NM, Pete Padilla and wife Margaret of Albuquerque, NM, Ralph Padilla and wife Dora of Albuquerque, NM, Henry Padilla Sr. of Belen, NM and Pat Padilla Sr. of Mountainair, NM; sisters Leonor Flores, Antonia Sisneros, Lilly Flores, Aurelia Sisneros; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a Rosary & Mass on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00AM at St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM with Fr. Sotero Sena officiating. Pallbearers will be Adrian Padilla, Casey Padilla, Henry Padilla Jr., Joshua Campbell, Patrick Padilla Jr., and Mike Padilla. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Padilla and Ray Padilla. Burial will follow at the San Lorenzo Cemetery in Abo, NM.
