ANTHONY “ANTONE” ROMERO, 50, of Manzano, NM passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 7, 2013. Antone was born September 25, 1963 in Mountainair, NM to Julian and Deluvina (Sandoval) Romero. Anthony’s pride and joy and love of his life were his 5 children and grandson. He was a good cook, enjoyed cutting firewood, loved Chevy trucks – 4X4’s, loved family gatherings, BBQ’s, holidays, and hunting. Antone is survived by his children Felix Romero, Jeremy Romero, Onesimo Romero, Xavier Romero, and Angerika Romero; grandchild Jeremy Knoah Romero; brothers and sisters Chavela and husband Ray Barela Jr, of Tajique, NM, Katherine Sanchez of Estancia, NM, Eva and husband Philip Ortiz of Tijeras, NM, Marie and husband Gilbert Barela of Albuquerque, NM, Angela and husband Eddie Montoya of Peralta, NM, Pablo and wife Adela Romero of Manzano, NM, Michael and wife Eliza Romero of Tajique, NM, Julian and wife Gloria Romero of Manzano, NM and Debbie and husband Alex Sisneros of Belen, NM. There will be a Rosary and Mass at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Manzano, NM with Fr. Sotero Sena officiating. Pallbearers will be Felix Romero, Jeremy Romero, Onesimo Romero, Xavier Romero, Julian Romero, Michael Romero, and Pablo Romero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward Lopez, Pat Romero, and Esteven Nunez. Burial will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Manzano, NM.
