Jeffrey Paul Bates

JEFFREY PAUL BATES, 49, of McIntosh, NM passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 9, 2013. Jeffrey was born May 12, 1964 in Carlsbad, NM to Thomas P. and Una M. (Jones) Bates. Jeffrey was a longtime resident of McIntosh. He was a loving father and grandfather. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Marjorie Bates and Walter and Una Jones. He is survived by his wife Tre Bates; father Thomas Paul Bates of Carlsbad, NM; mother Una Mae McGowen of McIntosh, NM; sons Anthony Bates, Timothy Bates, Derrick Bates and Brendon Bates; step-son Trace Helleums; step-daughters JaiLei Moore, Patricia O’Brien, and Shayla O’Brien; brother Gregory Thomas Bates of McIntosh; and six grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
