GREG WILLIAM ALEXANDER, 38, of Edgewood, New Mexico passed away at his home on Sunday, August 25, 2013. Greg was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 27, 1975 to Manuel Chavez and Donna Alexander. Greg was a lifetime resident of Torrance County. Greg was preceded in death by his grandmother Pearl Alexander, grandmother Mary Chavez and stepmother Beth Chavez. He is survived by his father Manuel Chavez of Moriarty; mother Donna Longoria and her husband Arthur of Jourdanton, TX; girlfriend Vanessa Chavez of Edgewood; sons Avery Alexander and Ethan Alexander and their mother Patricia Garrett of Albuquerque; daughter Destiny Keene and her mother Jennifer Keene of Fort Worth, TX; aunt Jeannie Ortiz and her husband Johnny of Moriarty; grandfather Manuel L. Chavez of Moriarty; brothers Michael Chavez and his wife Andrea of Midland, TX; Manuel Chavez of Moriarty; Markes Chavez of Moriarty; Nick Chavez of Midland, TX, Aaron Longoria of Jourdanton, TX and J.J. Ortiz and his wife Tiffany of Lovington, NM; sisters Jessica Martinez and her husband Ted of Moriarty, Julie Ortiz of Moriarty and Janet Ortiz of Albuquerque; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. There will be a viewing on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. The service will be on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 10:00am at the Moriarty Civic Center with Pastor Dave officiating. Pallbearers will be Stacy Henson, Jeff Tapia, Doug Stokes, J.J. Ortiz, Aaron Longoria, Jerry Spalding and Jamie White. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Chavez, Manuel Chavez, Markes Chavez, and Nick Chavez.
