William David Bass

WILLIAM DAVID BASS, 74, of Moriarty, NM, peacefully passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. William was born December 10, 1938 in Kingsport, TN to Franklin and Willie (Vaughn) Bass. He married Frances Sanchez, his loving wife of 56 years on May 11, 1957. Together they raised their family in Albuquerque. Bill was a successful businessman with many ventures including an insurance agency, Equitable Live and Casualty, farming, ranching, restaurants, Go Cart Track and his favorite, race horses. Bill and Frances retired and have lived in Moriarty for the past 19 years where he was able to enjoy his grandchildren and animals. He was a devout member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. William was preceded in death by his parents, sister Libby, brother Frank, son William David Bass Jr. and son-in-law Thomas Casaus. He is survived by his wife Frances C. Bass, sons Albert Bass and his wife Cyndi and Jason Bass and his wife Heather, daughters Kathyrn Casaus, Lisa West and her husband Roger and Veronica Gadomski and her husband Donald, sisters Minni Lorenzen, Lola Myers, Stella Kiss and her husband Jim and Henrita Kendrick, 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. There will be a Rosary recited on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 7:00pm. The Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:00am on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Lancaster officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Casaus, Brian Casaus, Donald Gadomski Jr. and William West. Burial of cremains will be at 2:00 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque.
