Olin D. Solomom

OLIN D. SOLOMON SR, 70, of Estancia, New Mexico passed away at his home on Monday, June 17, 2013. Olin was born June 16, 1943 in Estancia, NM to Chan E. and Viola M. (Schultz) Solomon. Olin was a lifetime resident of Estancia. He married his loving wife of 44 years, Kitty Clark on May 24, 1969 in Mountainair, NM. Together they had and raised a son, Olin “Deen” Jr. and a daughter Louise. Olin was a self employed true rancher, and a loving husband, daddy, and grandpa. Olin was preceded in death by his parents Chan and Viola Solomon and brother James Solomon. He is survived by his wife Kitty Solomon of Estancia; son Olin Deen Solomon Jr. and his wife Sherry of Estancia; daughter Louise Solomon and Leo Dennisson of Stanley; brother Gayln Solomon of Estancia; four grandchildren, Dillon and wife Rachel, Tiffany, Brittany and Kasey and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Emma. There will be a Viewing on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00am at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair with Richard Spencer and Gary Lee Watts officiating. Pallbearers will be James Solomon, Leo Dennisson, Brian Crider, Dillon Erwin, Henry Moore, and Ron Schmidt. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his friends and neighbors. Olin will be laid to rest at the Estancia Cemetery.
