PETER CACCHIOLI, 85, of Moriarty, New Mexico passed away in Albuquerque, NM on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Peter was born July 6, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ to Charles and Rosa (Binieri) Cacchioli. Peter married Marilyn Rich, his loving wife of fifty-five years, on March 19, 1959 in Queens, NY. Together they had and raised one son, Peter. They owned and operated Crompond Diner in Peekskill, New York for forty years before moving to Moriarty where they lived for the past 16 years. Peter was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a Lake Mohegan Fire Department Life member, Fire Commissioner for 15 years, EMT and Lake Mohegan Ambulance Corp. member. Peter had a great sense of humor and a loving heart. Peter was preceded in death by his father and mother; sisters Angela Krick; and Elizabeth Harper; brother Joseph Cacchioli; and grand-daughter Teri Lin Marquez. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Cacchioli; son Peter Cacchioli; step-daughter Marsha Schmidt; step-son Robert Bradford; brothers Paul Cacchioli; Aldo Cacchioli; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; any many nieces and nephews. There will be a Viewing on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. There will be a Graveside Service on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10:00am at Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood with Deacon Don Cupps officiating. Pallbearers will be Peter Cacchioli, Jeromy Schmidt, Steven Schmidt and Tony Marquez.
