Amos Lloyd Vigil Sr.

AMOS LLOYD VIGIL SR., 85, of Moriarty, New Mexico peacefully passed away at his home on Friday, May 31, 2013. Amos was born February 3, 1928 in Alamosa, Colorado to Jose Filiberto and Agapita Juanita (Ortega) Vigil. Amos was a retired Air Force Veteran and retired from Post Office service. Amos had lived in Moriarty for the past 19 years having previously lived in Albuquerque. Amos was preceded in death by his father Filiberto Vigil; mother Agapita Vigil; and brothers Bert Vigil and Dan Vigil. He is survived by his wife Virginia M. Vigil, sister Viola Hininger, children Juanita and Ben Chavez, Amos L. Vigil Jr., Michael & Susan Vigil, Ora & Ruben Gastelum, Anthony & Lorraine Vigil. Amos was also survived by Grandchildren Ostelano & Mari Romero, Isaac Chavez, Ricky Walker, Samantha & Danny Fauria, Ruben & Megan Gastelum, Brian Vigil, Abel Gastelum, Jared Gastelum, Brandon Vigil, Estrella Vigil, and Anthony Vigil Jr. and great-grandchildren Andre Romero, Aaliyah Romero, Damien Baca & Destiny Baca. There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11:00am at the Cross Roads Bible Fellowship Church, 2412 Old Rt. 66, Edgewood, NM 87015 with Gale Holt officiating.
