Maria Eufemia Ortiz

EUFEMIA ORTIZ, 89, of Estancia, New Mexico, peacefully passed away at her home with her loving family at her side, on Monday, May 20, 2013. Eufemia was born in San Antonio, NM on January 13, 1924 to Milton and Mariana (Gutierrez) Jinzo. Eufemia had lived in Estancia for the past 38 years having previously lived in Albuquerque. She married Delfinio Ortiz in Estancia, NM in 1990. Eufemia was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, NM. Eufemia was a wonderful mother, great wife and loving NANA. Eufemia was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Mariana Jinzo; son Milton Ortiz; brothers Deluvino Jinzo and Euvaldo Jinzo; grandsons Lawrence Trujillo, Donald Trujillo, and Louis Trujillo; and granddaughter Kiva Gonzalez. She is survived by her husband Delfinio Ortiz; sons Emilio Garcia and his wife Josie, and Daniel Ortiz and his wife Anna; daughters Mary Lou Trujillo and her husband Joe Cruz; Geneva Swansen and her husband Mike and Kathy Garley and her husband Arthur; sisters Lucy Candelaria and her husband Ernest and Ramona Garcia and her husband George; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a Rosary recited on Thursday, May 23rd at 7:00pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, NM. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:00am also at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Elias Garley, David Ortiz, Roman Kirby, Leo Gonzalez, Carlos Trujillo, and Tim Trujillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Garley, Alvin Trujillo, Carl Gonzalez, Keith Trujillo, Robert Trujillo, Steven Rosenberger, Dominic Garcia, Daniel Ortiz, Crista Garley and Desirae Ortiz. Burial will follow the Mass at the Estancia Cemetery in Estancia, NM.
