Teofilo "Ted" Gonzlaes

Teofilo “Ted” Gonzales, 84, a life long resident of Moriarty, NM, passed away Thursday May 9, 2013, at his home in Moriarty, NM with his loving family beside him. Ted was born May 18, 1928, to Justo and Erinea (Lovato) Gonzales, in Gonzales Ranch, NM. Ted married Delfina Chavez on August 28, 1950. Ted was preceded in death by his father Justo Gonzales, two sons Bobby Gonzales and Jerry Gonzales; daughter Cynthia Gonzales; and brother Benny Gonzales. He is survived by his mother Nea Gonzales, of Moriarty, NM; his loving wife of 63 ½ years Delfina Gonzales of their home in Moriarty, NM; two sons Steve Gonzales and wife Dolores of Moriarty, NM, and Ted Gonzales and wife Debbie of Edgewood, NM; two daughters Annabell Mora and husband John of Moriarty, NM, and Victoria Apodaca and husband Larry of Edgewood, NM; two daughters-in-law, Erma Gonzales of Moriarty, NM, and Carey Gonzales of Portales, NM; three brothers Manuel Gonzales and wife Dorothy, Fred Gonzales and Adam Gonzales; seven sisters, Vera Jacobs, Mary Ann Armijo, Fella Sisneros and husband Kard, Sadie Tavenner, Lorraine Parraz and husband Gabby, Dolly Encinias and husband Adan, and Martha Tenorio and husband Charles; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Ted will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Funeral services are as follows; Viewing-Monday May 13, 2013 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM at the Moriarty Civic Center; Funeral-Monday May 13, 2013—10:30AM also at the Moriarty Civic Center with Pastor Gale Holt officiating, followed by burial in the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers will be Johnny Mora Jr, Cindy Gonzales, Larry Apodaca Jr, Brenda Gonzales, Steven Gonzales and Teddy Joe Gatewood.
