Rosie Anaya

ROSIE ANAYA, 66, of Estancia, New Mexico peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, May 2, 2013. Rosie was born December 11th 1946 in Tajique, New Mexico to Ramon and Catalina (Barela) Aragon. Rosie was a lifetime residence of Torrance County. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David Aragon, and Charlie Aragon; sister Mellie Aragon; nephews Steve Garcia and Pete Garcia; and grandsons Adrian Candelaria and Wade Sullenger. She is survived by her husband Alfredo Chavez of Estancia; daughters Roxanne A. Font of Estancia; Roseanne Starkey and her husband Robert of Albuquerque, Alfreda Thomas and her husband Mike of Estancia; Velma Crow and her husband Larry of Belen; Joane Maese and her husband Robert of Albuquerque, and Diana Chavez of Albuquerque; brother Jimmy Aragon and his wife Petra of Estancia; sister Josephine Sierra and her husband Guillermo of Herford, TX; sister-in-law Crucita Aragon of Amarillo, TX; niece Mary Helen Castillo and her husband Wally; five grandchildren, Julia Rose Starkey, Heather Thomas, Erin Thomas, Lauren Schwebach, and Robert Maese Jr.: four great-grandchildren, Cruz Berkshire, Joaquin Maese, Nevaeh Maese and Israel Maese; and several nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 7:00pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:00am also at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Burial of cremains will be at San Antonio Catholic Cemetery in Tajique, NM.
