Clifford "Tallboy" Larkin West

CLIFFORD “TALLBOY” LARKIN WEST, 86, of Moriarty, New Mexico peacefully passed away at his home with his loving family surrounding him on Monday, March 4, 2013. Clifford was born March 1, 1927 in Malakoff, TX to Hairm and Gracie (Pace) West. “Tallboy” had lived in Moriarty for the past 32 years having previously lived in Gallup, NM. He married Delores “Dee” G. West on January 27, 1969 in Andrews, TX. He was an Honorable discharge VFW member, an American Legion member and a Member of Operating Engineer Local 953. “Tallboy” was preceded in death by his wife Delores “Dee” G. West; his parents Hairm West (father) and Gracie West (mother); Delma West (brother); Edna Mae West (sister); Margaret McNeely (sister); Robert Leyba (stepson) and Jarren Winner (granddaughter). He is survived by his son Doyle West of Sweetwater, TX; stepsons Albert Leyba of AZ, Edward Leyba of AZ, and Tom Leyba of Albuquerque, NM; daughters Rita Blair of Texas and Dee Anne West of Moriarty, NM; stepdaughters Dori Smith of Albuquerque, NM and Brenda Winner of CA; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00AM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
