Herman C. Sena

HERMAN C. SENA, 72, of Edgewood, New Mexico peacefully passed away at his home on February 19, 2013. Herman was born April 2, 1940 in Limitar, New Mexico to Elias and Frances (Castillo) Sena. Herman always enjoyed serving his community and fellow man. His passion was being a firefighter and chief for the Stanley Fire Department. He was a very loving and caring man, always looking to give you a hard time or joke around with you. He will be severely missed. Herman is preceded in death by mother, father, and late wife Christel Sena. He leaves behind his wife, Judy Sena; stepmother Julia Sena; sons Rory Sena and wife Mona; Eric Sena and wife Michelle, Stanley Combs and wife Susan, Robert Combs and wife Amy, Dennis Combs. He also leaves behind daughter Elaine Chikami and husband Chris, Nancy Friday and husband Mark; 9 grandchildren; 8 sisters; and 3 brothers. He was an ironworker for local 416 of L.A. for 35 years, Stanley District Fire, 13 years (Chief 10 years), and a member of Oldsmobile Club of So. Calif. There will be a viewing on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. Service will be on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00AM at the Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, NM with Pastors Stanley Combs and Brandon Shaffer officiating. Pallbearers will be Jamie Morris, June Morris, Darryl Day, Mike Fuelner, Kurt Lermuseaux, and Tim Solinski. Burial will follow the service at Stanley Cemetery in Stanley, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Stanley Fire Department, Stanley District, PO Box 7, Stanley, NM 87056.
