AURORA ACADIZ-PEREZ de ACOSTA, 96, of Estancia, New Mexico peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013. Aurora was born December 1st, 1916 in Oxnard, California to Jesus Acadiz and Maria Perez. She married Geronimo Servando Acosta in August of 1934. Aurora had lived in Estancia since 1985 having previously lived in NVO Casas Grandes, Chihuahua. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia. Aurora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Manuel Acosta; daughter, Cipriana Gonzales; sister, Felicita Cordova; grandsons, Roberto Gonzales, Enrique Ramirez, Jesus Jose Acosta, Jose Alberto Acosta, Noel Ricardo Acosta and Jose Ramirez; and granddaughters, Estela Gonzales, Aurora Ramirez. She is survived by her sons Servando Acosta-Acadiz and his wife Maria Clara of McIntosh, NM, Ramon Acosta-Acadiz and Socorro Juarez de Acosta of Estancia, NM, Jesus Acosta-Acadiz and his wife Yolanda of Moriarty, NM; Roman Acosta-Acadiz and his wife Sylvia of Moriarty, NM; Lorenzo Acosta-Acadiz and Gilbert Acosta-Acadiz and Marilyn Moore Acosta of Estancia, NM; daughters Rosa Acosta de Ramirez and her husband Pedro of Estancia, NM and Guadalupe Astorga and her husband Antelmo of McIntosh, NM; 46 grandchildren; 118 great-grandchildren and 39 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing from 2:00 to 4:00PM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty on Sunday, January 20, 2013 followed by a Rosary recited at 7:00PM at Sts Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia. The Mass of Resurrection will be on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 10:00AM also at SSPP in Estancia with Rev. Fr. Robert Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at the Estancia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Emiliano Acosta, A.J. Astorga, Armando Ramirez, Servando Acosta, David Acosta, Mark Acosta, Luis Acosta and Adan Acosta.
