Evelyn Voncelle Harman (Von), 61
Von Harman left our physical world and returned to the loving arms of her Creator, on Christmas Eve, Monday December 24th, 2012.
Von was at home with family, in Moriarty, New Mexico, where she was dealing with a recently diagnosed illness, when she crossed over.
Born in Baird, Texas on May 29th 1951, to James William Myers Jr., and Evelyn Ruth Turner (Myers). Von was Baptized, at Rochelle Baptist church, attended Rochelle School system and went on to attend College at Tampa University in Tampa, Florida.
Von met the love of her life, Paul D. Harman in Sweetwater, TX in the 70’s; they moved to New Mexico and were married in 1976. New Mexico became their home where they raised their family.
Von’s primary career would be General Manager of a New Mexico chain restaurant for twenty years, but her life’s interests would take her in many other directions. Those included work in construction (dynamite blasting), Silversmithing, Bead-crafting, Native American healing, wild-crafting natural herbs, teaching the Old ways, and working with less privileged humanity, through all of this, Von had a heart of LOVE- when there was a need; she always found a way to fill that need in others.
Von’s love of things Sacred, was recognized by a very special individual, Marcellus” Bearheart” Williams. Von was truly honored by being adopted as his granddaughter. This adoption was one of her most cherished life blessings.
Among the loved ones who met her at Heavens Gates, were Grandparents, James W. and Cora Myers, Herb and Ava Turner, adopted Grandfather Marcellus Bearheart Williams, her mother Evelyn (Ruth) Johnson, stepfather George Johnson, biological father James W. Myers Jr., and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom she held close to her heart.

The final resting place of Von’s mortal body will be at Cowboy Cemetery in Richland Springs, Texas, among so many of her loved ones who have gone before her.
Von’s Memorial will consist of a Native American Burial Scaffold, on her home property.
