Dorothy Mabel Corliss

Dorothy Mabel Corliss, 70, of Mountainair, New Mexico passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 in Mountainair. Dorothy was born June 3, 1942 in Hot Springs, New Mexico to Raymond and Ethel (Corn) Mackey. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Shirley Gray and Edith Mackey; and granddaughters, Lanissa Corliss and Athel McDonald. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jimmy Corliss; sons Jimmy A. Corliss and his wife Rheeann of Estancia, NM, and Leonard E. Corliss and wife Wygila of Estancia, NM; daughter Raylene Turner of Odessa, TX; brother Raymond Mackey and wife Vickki of North Carolina; sister Ethal Ray Kirk and Husband Mike of Reno, NV; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 am, also at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, with Richard Spencer and Gary Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Round Top Cemetery in Mountainair. Pallbearers will be Aden Corliss, Tate Corliss, Blaine Corliss, Wilse Corliss, Onan Turner and Mark Riley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shelton McDonald, Arliss Corliss, Barrett Shiver, Colt Turner, Orville Watts, Delbert Autrey and Ray Mackey.
