Funeral Services will be held Saturday November 17, 2012 in Moriarty for John
(Johnny) Ernest Halderman, 73 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Elder Dave Torres officiating.
Halderman passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his beloved wife Jane on November 7, 2012.
Halderman was born in La Palma to the home of Edwin Channing Halderman Jr. and the former Mary Ellen Russel on November 22, 1938. He was reared and attended school at Encino.
Halderman was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served on the USS Alfred A. Cunningham. He was Honorably discharged December 1, 1961.
He married Mary Jane Benavidez on October 21, 1961 in Vaughn, NM. They had two sons, Curtis Albert and Todd Channing. They had lived in Moriarty for the past 4 ½ years having preciously lived in California. John was a devoted and well respected member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Moriarty. John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ray Halderman and Roy Halderman and brother-in-law, Melvin Burton. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Jane Halderman; sons, Curtis Albert Halderman and his wife Elsa and Todd Channing Halderman and his wife Tammy of California; sister, Elsie Burton of Vaughn, NM; Mary Ellen Richmond of Las Cruces NM; Betty Lou Houston of Socorro, NM; Sister in Lay Joyce Halderman of Encino, NM, three grandchildren, Myles Halderman, Sarah Jane Halderman, and Ashley Martinez, and great-grandson Aiden McMurray.

Only Sister-in-law, Rita Benavidez Larranaga married to Efren Desiderio (Dick) Larranaga; their children Ruben, Joe (Frankie), Ted Laranaga all of Faribanks, Alaska and Daughter Tessie Larranaga Lanum of Las Cruces, NM.
Bud Halderman, Dorothy Halderman, Anna Halderman, Kenneth (Partner) Halderman, Dee Halderman, Barbara Ann, Jaramillo, Janet Nascimento, Kathy Sultemeier, Danny Burton, Mary Lee Widner, Judy Faye Reisinger, Van Halderman, Elton Cain, May Ellen Howard, Norman Burton, John Burton, Edwin Burton and Debra Degraff.
