Barbara Dahlberg Rice

BARBARA DAHLBERG RICE, 82, of Tijeras, New Mexico passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 20, 2012. Barbara was born March 21, 1930 in Oak Park Illinois to Russell and Agnes (Reisel) Dahlberg. She married Kenneth Rice on October 18, 1952 in Oak Park IL. They had four children, Kit, Barbara, Kevin, and Barry. Barbara had lived in Tijeras since 1999 having previously lived in Oak Park, IL. Barbara was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church in Tijeras. And she was a member of Gordonites and South West Collie Rescue. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Rice, who passed away in 2003; and daughter, Kit Rice. She is survived by her sons, Kevin Rice and Kathy Tellin of Davis, CA and Barry Rice and Beth Salvia of Woodland, CA; daughter, Barbara Hoffman and her husband Chris of Tijeras, NM; and grandchild, Samuel Kenneth Hoffman. There will be a Rosary recited on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 7:00p.m. at Holy Child Catholic Church in Tijeras, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 10:00a.m.also at Holy Child Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Mark Granito officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Hoffman, Kevin Rice, Barry Rice and Tom Tack. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty, NM.
