George Henry Hensley

HENSLEY, GEORGE H. 83, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Carlsbad, N.M. George was born May 10, 1928 in Parsons, Tennessee. The family moved to New Mexico in 1936. George attended school in Edgewood and Stanley. George married Irma Jean Raymond, and from that union was born Raymond Earnest, James Robert, and Ronald Ellis. He was an avid Pilot. George was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bertha Hensley; wife, Irma Jean; sons, Raymond, and Robert. George is survived by his wife, Wanda, of Carlsbad; brother, Robert O Hensley of Moriarty; son, Ron of Albuquerque; step-daughters, Gwen Gonzales and Danny of Carlsbad, Yvonne Harris and Jody of Hagerman and Carol Albright and Marvin of Carlsbad; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. A viewing will be 9:00 to 10:00am Thursday, April 5, 2012 in the chapel of Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, in Moriarty, prior to the Memorial Service which will start at 10:00am with Rev. H. Gordon Smith and James H. Ford officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain Valley Cemetery, on Barton Road, Edgewood. Pallbearers will be Robert O. Hensley, Loran Hill, Ellan Anderson, Jon Anderson, Louie Guenther and James P. Ford.
