JUAN LIZARDO GARCIA, 32, of Moriarty, New Mexico, passed away suddenly on March 20, 2012 in Portales, New Mexico. Juan was born November 21, 1979 in Albuquerque, NM to Filiberto and Rosa (Hurtado) Garcia. Juan was a lifetime resident of Moriarty, NM. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. Juan was a member of the Local 412 Plumber Pipe Fitters Union, Moriarty FFA, and Torrance County 4-H. He graduated from Moriarty High School in 1998. Juan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lizardo Garcia and Jose Diaz. He is survived by his parents, Filiberto and Rosa M Garcia of Edgewood, NM; son, Juan Lizardo Garcia II and his mother, Kathy Garcia of Moriarty, NM; grandmothers, Maria C. Diaz and Misela B. Garcia; brother, Daniel Filiberto Garcia of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Cecilia Fernandez and Robert Laker of Phoenix, AZ, and Monica Linda Doherty and her husband Patrick of England; nephews, Adam Matthew Doherty and Dean Marcus Garcia; and niece, Carys Cecilia Doherty. There will be a viewing at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A Rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 7:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10:00AM with Fr. Robert Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers will be Henry Mora, Luciano Chavez, Ruben Gallegos, Christopher Fuentes, Dominic Lerma and Norman Lovato.
