PABLITA T. LOVATO, 93, of Manzano, New Mexico passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Sunday, February 26, 2012. Pablita was born June 22, 1918 in Mesteño, NM to Jose Maria and Manuelita (Jaramillo) Torres. Pablita married Filomeno “Shorty” S. Lovato on April 19, 1939 in Manzano, NM. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2003. Pablita was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Mission in Manzano, NM. She was also a member of the Blue Army. Pablita was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Manuelita Torres; her husband, Shorty Lovato; great-grandson, AJ Hallifax; five sisters; and four brothers. She is survived by her sister, Gertrude T. Chavez; sons, Fidel Lovato and his wife Emma of Albuquerque, NM, Gabriel Lovato and Roberta Rose of Albuquerque, NM, Gilbert Lovato and his wife Naphie of Mesteño, NM; daughters, Dora Pitchford and her husband Jim of Phoenix, AZ, Elfie Romero and her husband Robert of Albuquerque, NM, Estella Vigil of Rio Rancho, NM, Rufina Otero and her husband Fred of Manzano, NM, Gloria Zamora and her husband Maclovio of Manzano, NM, Lenora Romero and her husband David of Mountainair, NM and Manie Lovato and Ed Daley of Phoenix, AZ; thirty-five grandchildren; seventy-three great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. There will be a viewing from 6:00PM to 7:00PM before the Rosary which will be recited at 7:00PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. There will be another viewing from 10:00AM to 11:00AM before the Mass which will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Manzano, NM with Rev. Fr. Fernando Saenz officiating. Pallbearers will be John Garcia, David Romero, Norman Lovato, Salvador Vigil, Dion Zamora, Juan Romero, Miguel Lovato and Joseph Lovato Baca. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sierra Lovato-Daley, Penny Shannon and All other Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and Great-great-grandchildren. The Burial will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Church Yard in Manzano, NM.
