James Clifford Autrey

JAMES CLIFFORD AUTREY, 76, of Mountainair, New Mexico passed away in Sun City, Arizona on Monday, February 20, 2012. James was born January 24, 1936 in Mountainair, NM to Alfred and Marie (Smith) Autrey. James was a lifetime resident of Mountainair, NM. James married Marilyn Janice Applegate on December 25, 1955. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2006. James was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mountainair. He was a self-employed Rancher. James was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Juanell Autrey; and brother, Gary Don Autrey. He is survived by his son Randy Autrey and his wife Lori of Estancia, NM; daughters, Linda Kayser and her husband Gary of Mountainair, NM, Carolyn Barncastle and her husband Johnny of Las Cruces, NM, and Sharolyn Johnson and her husband Doug of Ft. Sumner, NM; brothers, Leon Autrey and his wife Darla of Elida, NM and Delbert Autrey and his wife Marie of Mountainair, NM; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2:00PM at Assembly of God Church in Mountainair, NM with Rev. Wayne Brazil officiating. Pallbearers will be James Barncastle, Paul Kayser, Garyn Anaya, Cooper Autrey, Calvin Autrey, Garet Farney, and Landon Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Brazil, Carl “Curley” Holland, Danny Prather, Bill Wells, Bob Neeley, Dean Hall, Jack Mathews and Lloyd Basha. Burial will follow the service at Mountainair Cemetery in Mountainair, NM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Boys Ranch of New Mexico.
