Johnny Ray Candelaria

JOHNNY RAY CANDELARIA, 59, of Torreon, New Mexico, peacefully passed away at his home on Sunday, January 8, 2012. Johnny was born March 3, 1952 in Mountainair, New Mexico to Juan Antonio and Agustina (Herrera) Candelaria. Johnny had lived in Torrance County for the past thirty-five years having previously lived in Albuquerque, NM. Johnny was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Manzano, NM. He attended Lincoln Junior High School. Johnny is survived by his brother, Carlos Candelaria; sisters, Bernadette & her husband Al Martinez and Alejandra and her husband Chano Lucero; and numerous nephews and nieces. Johnny will be greatly missed, he was loved by all. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30AM on Saturday, January 14, 2012, followed by a Memorial Mass at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Torreon on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00AM. The family wishes to express a special thanks to nephew, Edward Montoya, niece, Yvonne Brandenburg and Brenda Booker with Hospice Compassus. Everyone is invited to the home of the Candelaria Family after the services for beverages and food.
